What is the Export Market Development Grant?

The Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) provides a rebate of up to 50% of eligible export promotion expenses (less the first $5,000) to assist with bringing international buyers or visitors to the Australian market.

Eligibility Criteria

You must be an Australian business with less than $50m turnover.

Your business sells Australian products or services to international customers.

You are marketing Australian products or services to overseas customers.

You have attended international trade shows or business networking events.

The business has spent at least $15,000 (ex GST) on marketing and international networking costs in two consecutive financial years (if you have previously applied for EMDG, the minimum is $15,000 in ONE financial year).

You can provide records of all invoices, receipts and itineraries to meet these requirements.
