FAQ

How can Get Grants help my business?

State and Territory governments provide various grants to help businesses access much needed funds to improve cashflow and grow.

However, not every business owner is aware of the grants available to them, and applying for them can be difficult and time-consuming.

We offer a personalised service that connects businesses, particularly in regional areas, with government grants.

Our specialist experience means that we know what to focus on and the best way to present the required information. We also ensure your application is compliant with current legislation. These factors can make a real difference in whether or not your grant application is successful.

How do I find out which government grants I’m entitled to?

To determine your eligibility for a government grant, visit the relevant grants page and answer the qualifying questions.

How long does the grant application process take?

The process usually takes between two to four weeks to submit and then an additional four weeks (approximately) to receive any payment you’re entitled to.

Are there any specific grants available for startups?

Yes. The NSW Minimum Viable Product (MVP) Grant is designed to assist NSW ABN registered businesses that are at pre-revenue stage.

What about government grants that aren’t listed on your website?

All three levels of government regularly release new initiatives to support Australian businesses. If you come across a grant that isn’t listed on our website, please let us know so our team can advise you on the best approach. If it’s not something we specialise in, we may know someone else who can help.

Step 3: If you’re happy to proceed, we’ll book in a time to complete the claim. During the application process, you can expect to have three to four one-hour meetings to work through the application with us.

Are there any restrictions on what I can use a government grant for?

If your business sells Australian products and services to an international market, you could be eligible for the Export Market Development Grant (EMDG) which provides a rebate of up to 50% of eligible export promotion expenses (less the first $5,000).

I have previously been audited or had my grant application rejected. Will I be eligible in the future?
